Blog ideas for more visitors, links & shares

Not every blog post will generate the same number of visitors, links and shares. One topic will do better than another. In addition, the quality of your blog post also plays a role, the number of competitors and of course the type of blog post. That is why this blog post contains 10 blog ideas that will provide more results!

Also read my blog post about coming up with good blog topics if you could use some extra help.

Why these 10 blog ideas?

One of the most written blog posts is the so-called listicle . Often recognizable by the number in the title, for example: the ’10 travel apps that should definitely be on your phone’ or the ‘7 best books about mindfulness’.

It is not without reason that you come across listicles (or list blog posts) so often, because they simply do incredibly well. Both in Google and with your target group.

However, you don’t want your entire blog to be filled with list blog posts, because there are many more blog ideas that will generate more visitors, shares & likes .

That’s why I’m sharing 10 types of posts in this blog post that are an addition to your website, especially because they will be very valuable to your target audience. These are not ready-made blog ideas, but rather types of posts that can be suitable for any type of website. Definitely check out the example I mention, but also give your own twist to the blog idea.

1. Success story

Do you want to not only help your target group achieve something, but also inspire them? Then you could share your story and tips in the form of a success story. The blog post is not only about what exactly you achieved, but especially how you achieved it.

For example, it could be about achieving a goal you have, setting up a certain project or overcoming fear. Of course, you don’t share this with the aim of bragging, but rather to help others achieve the same or something similar.

An important characteristic of a success story is that it is about your experiences, about your journey. So it is more personal than a blog post with tips or a step-by-step plan.

2. Research-based blog post

Most of the blog posts you write are probably based on your own experience. Want to do something different? Write a research-based blog post. This means that you share data and interesting findings based on research.

For example, you could conduct your own research, but you could also combine data from different studies.

In the Research-based blog post you then discuss:

  • What the subject entails
  • The results of the research
  • What these results mean for the reader

Don’t forget to link to the original research. This way your blog post has an outgoing link and your reader can also read the entire research.

3. Collaboration post

By a collaboration post I mean a blog post how to build telemarketing data in which you share the opinion/thoughts or expertise of others. This can be from one expert, but of course also from multiple experts.

A collaboration post can be an interview, an expert round-up or a completely different type of post that you create together with someone else.

A big advantage of a collaboration post is that you don’t have to promote the blog post alone. There is a big chance that the people you collaborate with will also share the post with their followers or network. Moreover, a collaboration post is also not particularly difficult to make.

4. Blog post series

How to Build Telemarketing Data

A blog idea that will definitely increase your chances of a higher position in Google is a blog post series. It takes some work, but it’s worth it.

Instead of one blog post, you can also write multiple blog posts about the subject. You can then link these blog posts to each other, which is always good for your position in Google. In addition, it also increases the chance that visitors will stay on your website longer, which increases the chances that they will become fans of your website.

In addition to adding links, it is important to choose a different keyword for each blog post in your series. This is to prevent.

5. Seasonal blog post

The more relevant the blog posts, the more list of gemstone names by color and type likely it will be shared by your target audience. That’s why seasonal blog posts do so well. Holidays bring enough ‘problems’ and questions. So enough opportunities for you to create valuable content for your target audience.

A seasonal blog post is something different than a blog post that responds to current events. Your seasonal blog post will be relevant again next year (after a small update). There is even a chance that your blog post will generate more visitors next year, because your post has more links and has built up authority in Google.

6. Thought leadership post

A thought leadership post is a blog post in which you present yourself as an authority and share your vision on a topic, for example the developments and trends in your field or a question that is often asked.

With a thought leadership post you really show who you are and you show that you not only have a lot of knowledge about a subject, but perhaps that you have a unique vision. It is therefore a good blog post to bind interested parties to your personal brand.

So be sure to choose a topic that is currently being talked about a lot, to get extra attention for your blog post.

7. Request

Why should you come up with all your blog ideas yourself, when you can leave this to your customers, followers or readers. Of course you can get inspiration based on the conversations you have with your target group, but you could also ask your target group directly what they want to know more about.

For example, you can make a call on your website, in your newsletter or on social media asking for blog ideas. You could then collect all the questions in one post. Based on the individual questions.

8. Common Posting Mistakes

Do you want to respond to the problems and aleart news frustrations of your target group? Then a common mistakes post is a good blog post to make. In this blog post you will not only discuss the common mistakes, but you will also discuss the possible solutions.

Tip! Do you find it difficult to think of common mistakes? Think of mistakes you have made yourself or look at the mistakes of your followers or customers.

9. Blog post with one or more examples

One of my favorite blog posts to write and read are blog posts with concrete examples. Instead of the writer telling you what to do, you actually get a good picture of how to do something.

If you mention multiple examples in the blog post, then also mention in the blog post why it is such a good example. In addition, choose different examples to give your reader a good impression of what is possible. If you only work out one example in your blog post, then make it as real and detailed as possible, so that your visitor can really benefit from it.

Bonus! People often search Google for search terms that contain the word ‘example’. Such as ‘marketing plan example’ or ‘sustainable business examples’.

10. ‘Lessons I’ve Learned’ post

In a lessons learned post, you can share your insights and lessons learned about a project you completed, a book you read, or an event you attended.
Did you learn something from something? Share it in a lessons learned post. You could share the same type of information in a list article or a how-to guide.
